Panini has returned with its second set of Premier League Soccer, (‘Soccer’-this is how Americans spell ‘football’). The 2020-21 Panini Prizm Premier League Soccer should be as exciting as last year’s inaugural set.
(The license to make these cards was held by Topps but Panini replaced them last year.) There are plenty of rookies and stars plus lots of Prizms and keen (this is British expression!) inserts.
The Premier League which was founded in 1992 might be the most popular league that there is in all the world’s organized sports. Unlike American Baseball or Football; the Premier games are watched all over the world every week during their normal 38 game August to May season. Manchester United is almost like the British version of the New York Yankees.
The Base Set is pretty large with 300 well-balanced cards. For comparison, the 2018-19 Topps Chrome Premier League set only had 100 base cards. There are fifteen cards for each of the twenty teams in the English Premier League, (EPL). I like the way the cards are organized. The teams are in blocks with Manchester United having the first run of fifteen cards.
The type of Prizms, Inserts, and even possible autographs depends on which type of pack or box you buy. Considering that these Opti-Chrome cards are sold all over the world; it also depends on where you buy them.
The various retail options include Blaster Boxes and Fat/Value packs.
Blasters have just 4 cards per pack and 6 packs per box. There are 20 boxes to a case.
Fat packs have 15 cards per pack. There are 12 packs per box and 12 boxes per case. Fat packs should include the following:

Hobby Options
There are 12 Hobby boxes to a case. There are 12 packs to a box and also 12 cards to a pack. A Hobby Box should contain:
16 Prizms (5 should be numbered and 1 should be silver)
1 Autograph (this could be a current player or a retired star)
6 Inserts.
