The 2021 Topps All Star Rookie team has been announced. I’m not sure why they don’t call this the 2020 Rookie Team because it is based on this season’s results. The players will not be rookies in 2021. Actually, that isn’t true with the short season some players will still be considered rookies next year unless the rules are changed. In addition, why is it an ‘All Star’ Rookie Team? None of these players were named to the All Star Game this year mainly because there wasn’t one this year.
Topps has recognized the Topps Rookie team since 1959. These players will have the Topps Rookie Cup Trophy on the 2021 Series 1 & 2 base cards.

Kim is the only one not to have received any votes for ROY. Perhaps it was because he is 32 and/or because he has pitched previously for the SK Wyverns of the KBO league?
It will be interesting to see which of these players end up in Cooperstown in 20 or so years.
